No Vacancy at the Double 'K' Ranch
Visitors to the Double ‘K’ Ranch can expect their stay to be short and rather unwelcoming, because inside that blue paint lurks a couple of ‘Hammer Heads’ with a fierce band of friends hovering nearby. Trespassers to the area are met quickly by a flash of leather and territorial ferocity, and trying to extend your stay will surely draw a crowd.

With Krista in her 3rd season as a Lady Ranger and Kara coming to Kitchener from Twin Center, the Belles in Blue have no shortage of experience in the crease but with Co Ownership of the Double ‘K’ Ranch both young ladies have already begun to dazzle crowds with their game play.

Neither Keeper lacks the skills or confidence to compete at high level and even after brief interviews with either one it becomes quickly apparent that both are hard wired to be Goalies.  Affectionately referred to as ‘Hammer Heads’ by Coach Dave, both Lady Rangers very much display the predatory nature of their namesake sea hunters by moving methodically and with a deal of purpose between the pipes.

As both Net Minders give their all in the crease, the respect and encouragement of their teammates has been more than prevalent, loose pucks and visiting players are swarmed upon by the tight Ranger defense and back checking forwards. Everybody’s confidence is growing, and at a rather rapid rate.

Standing alone in the blue paint can often times be a very lonely position, but with two likeminded individuals shouldering the load and sharing experience there is little chance either one will ever feel isolated. There will now always be someone to share their special language and interesting idiosyncrasies, there will always be a cheerleader when you need one most.

Goalies are a very different breed of player, so when you have two of them in charge at the Double ‘K’ Ranch there will always be a high level of excitement and passion. Just don’t overstay your welcome at the Ranch because the price you pay may just be a little more than you can afford, everything in the blue paint is C.O.D. (Chance Of Danger).
