Jr. Rangers face London in Alliance Semi Finals
The
Kitchener Jr. Rangers will face 1st place London Jr. Knights in
the Alliance Semi-Finals 8 point series.
London, who won the Bantam Alliance Championship, finished first this year with a 26-3-4 record. They scored 156 goals while only giving up 39. Kitchener Jr. Rangers finished in 4th place with a 20-9-4 record scoring 116 goals and giving up 59. Both teams swept their quarter final series three straight.
These teams met 3 times this past season and each game was exciting.
They met in London in mid-October and the Jr. Knights flexed their muscles to the tune of 5-2.
Early December they met again in Kitchener where London scored in the final 5 minutes of the game to prevail 3-2.
Their final meeting of the season took place in early January where London scored in the final 2 minutes of the game to tie the Jr Rangers 2-2.
The winner of this series advances to the Alliance Championship while the losing team plays in a showdown series for an opportunity to advance to the OHL Cup. The Jr. Rangers will need to play a team game and build off the energy of their fans each game.
