Finals vs.Waterloo Timber Wolves
The Rangers knew they were going to have to come up with their best game of the tournament going up against this talented Waterloo team. Waterloo dominated their way to the finals and was yet to be tested. Waterloo came out strong scoring early in the game; after making the the first save, the Timber Wolves were able put the puck past Kyle Ayres on the rebound. Even though the Rangers were down there was no quit in this team. Kyver Lippert tied the game up by being in the right spot at the right time. The teams went back a forth until Carson Dionne took advanatge of his opportunity after a goal-mouth scramble the puck ended up on his stick and he was staring at a wide-open net. The defense really turned it up suffocating the Wolves giving them no scoring chances. No one believed the Rangers stood a chance to win this game. We proved all of them wrong!
