October is breast cancer awareness month. The Kitchener Jr. Rangers Novice MD Blue team will be showing their support by using pink tape on their hockey sticks for the month of October. By doing so they hope to raise awareness to greater knowledge that will lead to earlier detection of breast cancer and a permanent cure.
Way to go boys!

The Rangers came up against a very strong opponent in the Cambridge Hawks Black team Saturday afternoon losing 9-1. The Rangers got off to a quick start with a goal from Evan McDonell, but Cambridge showed why they will be one of the top teams in tier one by dominating most of the game. Kyle Ayres kept it close with some stellar goaltending until his departure from the game late in the second period. Other bright spots for the Rangers continue to be the defensive play of Julian Mannhardt, who continues to show the coaching staff he's ready to play big minutes this year. The Rangers are back in action Sunday afternoon were they will host the St. Thomas Stars 3pm at the Aud. Good luck boys!
