The Lady Rangers hosted the Guelph
Gryphons for their first game of 2016!
The first game of 2016 had the Lady Rangers playing at home against the Guelph Gryphons. After a great Mississauga tournament, the ladies opened up their first game of 2016 at an incredibly sluggish pace. Several penalties early on had the ladies outshot by a two to one margin heading into the break. A mid third period power play goal put the Rangers up by one. With the goalie pulled with lots of time remaining, the Gryphons applied a solid minute thirty of sustained pressure in the Rangers end. Some controlled play, blocked shots and timely saves secured the “W” for the ladies. As we discussed “post tournament play”, you need to find ways to come out to compete every game. Success isn’t owned, it is rented. And the rent is due EVERY SINGLE DAY. You have six more “days of rent” left this season. You really need to make the most of them.
The coaching staff would like to acknowledge Ms. Komorowski as the “skittles” player of the game. You faced many shots throughout the game and stood tall again for us. Well done!
P.S. – Save any future face washing for the dressing room.
