For the second Sunday in a row, the
Lady Rangers hosted the Guelph Gryphons at the Activa Sportsplex.
The third and final meeting of the regular season had the Lady Rangers playing at home for the second Sunday in a row against the Guelph Gryphons. After a disastrous Saturday afternoon in Oakville, the ladies rebounded and played one of their most complete games of the season. Having almost the same number of shots in the first as they did during the entire previous days game, the ladies controlled the puck, made good “choices and options” and played like they had practiced. Mid way through the first, Ms. Yuke made the best of a two on one opportunity with a great backhand snipe to put the ladies up by one heading into the break. A late third period power play goal by Ms. MacDonald sealed the much needed “W” for the ladies. While very pleased with all your efforts this game, the coaching staff has pretty much used the entire “therapy” budget for this 2015 – 2016 “Jekyll & Hyde” season. We are absolutely ready to have you settle in and play the type of “Ranger Hockey” we know you are all capable of…..seriously ready!
The coaching staff would like to acknowledge Ms. Yuke as the “skittles” player of the game. We have been hard on you and have a high expectation of your level of play. Keep bringing what you brought today!
