The Lady Rangers welcomed the first
place Central West Division Saugeen-Maitland Lightning for a rare Sunday
morning game.
After a Saturday cancellation with the Owen Sound Ice Hawks, the Division leading Saugeen-Maitland Lightning made the early morning trek to face the Lady Rangers. After a scoreless first that saw the ladies with several good scoring opportunities, a lucky bounce had the Lightning up by one heading into the break. Remaining focused, all three lines continued to apply good pressure and after another period of “several good” opportunities, a beautiful backhand (yes the back of the stick works as well as the front) gave the ladies a well-earned point.
Remember to continue to “compete”. When you play like you can, your hard work and efforts will be rewarded.
