Three in Three
With just seven games remaining in the regular season, the Kitchener Lady Rangers Midget “A's” had a full weekend, playing at home Friday vs. the Owen Sound Ice Hawks, away on Saturday vs. the Saugeen Maitland Lightning and rounding out the weekend playing back at home Sunday against the North Halton Twisters.

The ladies started off Friday’s game with some sluggish play. Owen Sound capitalized early and often on their way to a 4 – 1 “W”. Travelling to Wingham on Saturday the ladies brought their “heart” and, in a game that bore little resemblance to Fridays, showed great hustle, battle and drive. Although a late extra man advantage brought the Lightning within one, the ladies left with a well-earned “W” of their own. Back home on Sunday against the Twisters, the ladies brought perhaps their best game of the season. Sustained pressure, execution of our systems of play in all three zones, numerous scoring opportunities with a season high thirty six shots on net (sometimes the empty nets are the hardest to hit) and contributions from everyone, gave the ladies their third much needed point of the weekend.

With Fridays play now behind you, we hope you see (and believe) that if you play the way you are capable, you will have a long playoff run. Four games to go ladies. We need your “heart” from everyone.
