The Lady Rangers welcomed the
Saugeen Maitland Lightning in their last LLFHL game for 2017.
After a disappointing performance the night before, the ladies came out strong against the Lightning. After a scoreless first which saw several good chances on both sides, the ladies were able to capitalize on several good opportunities (a nice escape to F3 and a D shot on the “net”) to take a two goal lead into the break. A balanced third with some continued good choices and options lead to a final marker (another good shot on the “net”) giving the ladies the win.
Winning is not everything but the effort to win is. If you are going to be successful you must come with this effort “every” game. Anything less well…..remember the “three days before Christmas”.
On behalf of Bill, Dave, Sarah and Tim, we wish all of our players and parents as well as those from the Brampton Canadettes, Cambridge Roadrunners, Guelph Gryphons, North Halton Twisters, Orangeville Tigers, Saugeen-Maitland Lightning, Stratford Aces and the Waterloo Ravens a Merry Christmas and all the best, both on and off the ice, for 2018.
