Tier One Alliance Champions!
The Kitchener Jr. Rangers Novice Red were victorious this weekend at the Alliance Championships in London, going undefeated and winning the Tier One Championships! The boys were absolutely amazing and played their best hockey of the season at the right time.

Game One @ North London Nationals – 7-0 Win
Game Two vs. West London Hawks – 7-2 Win
Game Three vs. Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets – 5-3 Win
Championship Game vs. Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets – 2-0 Win

What a great way to end the year!

Our team defence and goaltending excelled beyond expectations, allowing only 5 goals in 4 games. Our opponents were very frustrated as time and time again they were unable to get pucks to the net or capitalize on their chances.  At the other end of the ice, our offence was on fire, scoring 21 goals, which created momentum for our team that we carried right through to the final buzzer.

The coaches are so proud of how the boys carried themselves, showing respect and class at the rink, even if our opponents didn’t do the same. We took pride in consistently emphasizing good sportsmanship and creating a positive culture for our team, values that the boys lived by at the rink.

Our final post-game chat of the season highlighted that hard work and dedication was why we were triumphant, not talent alone.  Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.  The ongoing dedication to their team and teammates shown by the Novice Red players is remarkable and the coaches could not be more proud.

Watching these boys grow as hockey players and as young men has been nothing short of amazing.  Being a part of that journey and helping move these kids forward to the next step of their lives has been rewarding and created memories for us that will last a life time.

Thank you, boys, for letting us be your coaches. It means more to us than you know.
