Rangers Brought Back to Earth
The Kitchener Jr Rangers Select Blue team appeared over confident and lacking in execution in a 3 to 0 lose to their rival Red team Sunday night.

It is important to note the team has only had two practices together and went over a week without a team function, but the effort level needs to improve. And the players know it.

Meghan Wright was a bright spot for the Rangers. Wright really elevated her game and was spectacular in net for the Blue team. Without her heroics the team could have been in even hotter water.

Another bright spot in the game was the coaches had an opportunity to see where the players need to work and what must happen in order to prepare the team to compete harder.

Several wingers showed sighs of promise with Michael Rogoz and Shawn Parliament working hard. Logan Hock was winning board battles and Braeden Buck had some solid fore checks. Brett Herniman and Ryan McConnell had some nice shifts on the penalty kill.

Freddie Law, Jacob Ancich and Will Halter did a good job helping the defenders down low. In general, the defense was solid with Colin Starr and Ethan Shular leading the way. Tyler Oude-Voshaar and Rashaun Williamson made smart play to help break out the puck. Evan Skipp and Dezi Deneau were also reliable and solid.

It was a great game for learning lessons. And fortunately for the Rangers the team has more practices then game ahead and the team can adjust and correct the areas they struggled.

Go Rangers!
