Rangers Keep Rolling
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team continued their winning ways with a 5 to 0 road win over the Burlington Bulldogs White Saturday night.

The win was extra rewarding for the Rangers because the Bulldogs had taken a bite out of some the leagues top teams and have held teams, especially when their top goalie plays, to few goals. However, the Rangers found holes in the Bulldogs netminder and pounced at every chance they could.

With a lot of talk about the Bulldogs goalie, it was the Rangers Owen Neomytka pulling all the stops on way to his fourth shutout of the season. Neomytka was once again a rock in the net and gave the Bulldogs next to nothing to shot at and eat up any rebounds.

Matt Gallant got the Rangers going with a hard shot from the point from Quinten Earle and Denver Heiman. Jacob Reid-Brant scored a rocket bar down from Connor Coughlin and Caleb Cumming. Stephen Peppas split the defense and embarrassed the goalie with a slick move. Peppas was sent in from Heiman and Kodi Blackshaw. Reid-Brant had his second goal of the game, again, from Coughlin and Cumming. Logan Duke sprung out of the Rangers end to cap the scoring from Josh McDonald and Gallant.

As it has been all season, the game was won as a team, with Noah Park, Chad Morris and Toby Pryce controlling the pace of the game and the organization of their regroups and crisp break out passes were exceptional. Evan Peori and Jake Fisher were constant work horses and won their puck battles making it difficult for the Bulldogs to get anything started.

Up next the Rangers head to St. Catherine’s to face the Hurricanes before the team heads on a short Christmas break. The Rangers will be looking for their 17th straight league play victory and continuing to be the only undefeated team in the Bantam Alliance loop. If the players perform like they did in Burlington it might be a long game for the Hurricane players.

Go Rangers!
