It was yet another accomplishment for the Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team, winning the Alliance East/Central Playoffs as top seed, with a 4 to 1 win over the second seeded Burlington Bulldogs White, Saturday night in Kitchener. The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team learned a good lesson from their rival Blue team about playing with intensity and focus dropping their Sunday afternoon matchup 3 to 2. Credit to the Blue team for their hard work and determination in this one. It has been a string of meaningless games for the Rangers as of late, having clinched first long ago, and the team was getting a tad sloppy and almost just going through the motions at times. The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team completed their series against the Brantford 99ers Saturday night with a 12 to 4 win on the road at the Gretzky Center. The win marks the Rangers 50th victory of the season, dating back to early September. The win also moves the Rangers to their tenth straight playoff victory, keeping them perfect thus far in the playoffs with a 10 and 0 record. The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team took game 2 of the miniseries against the Brantford 99ers on the road with a 5 to 3-win Tuesday night at the Gretzky Center. After a pretty intense and rough first game, the second game was much more controlled and calmer by both teams.
