Going into the 4th game of the round robin, the boys knew they had to tie or win to clinch first place. With that mindset the Eagles hit the ice.
In the first period #91 Banton opened the scoring from a great back handed pass from #4 Price. On the second goal, with the Eagles crowded around the net, #11 Bell pushed one through.
In the second period #66 Nanuti feathered a beautiful break-away pass to #11 Bell, as he buried it, top shelf. Following the previous set-up, #66 Nanuti's fire was lit, as he scored the next 3 goals for the Eagles.
In the third period #91 Banton and #66 Nanuti continued their onslaught by scoring, yet, another goal, each. With 3:15 left on the board, #14 Gavin scored our final goal, assisted by #44 Ramcharan and #66 Nanuti.
Final Score: 9-0 Eagles
AND JUST LIKE THAT...THE EAGLES ARE HEADED TO THE SEMI-FINALS!!
Later in the locker room #91 Banton was awarded the Hardest Worker Puck for finishing out his final game in the tournament by working hard on every shift and contributing to offensive and defensive play.
