Blue Tops Red to take over 2nd place!
In what might be Team Blue's best overall effort of the season, Blue defeated Kitchener Red 1-0 on Thursday night at PJD. With Daniel in the sick bay, the boys in Blue stepped up there game and showed themselves and their families they were more than a match for their opponents.
Blue started strong with the line of Adam, Ethan S and Nathan scoring on the first shift with a goal mouth pass from Nathan to Ethan S for the score. The rest of the boys skated hard to match that effort and continued to put pressure on Red for the remainder of the game. Red was forced wide and for the most part away from the front of our goalkeeper. Vance had to make 2 spectactular saves to keep the shutout, but was happy to share the goose egg with his defensive corp of TJ, Hunter, Jack, Nathan, Josh and James.
Congratulations to Ethan R for winning the Blue helmet for his good work in the corners to keep the Red team buried in their end.
St. Catherines and Waterloo await on the weekend. Keep playing the same way Blue and we'll move on to the playoffs.
