Game 3 of the London Tournament
What a great finish to our Round Robin tournament play

Congratulations Ranger Red players for a terrific finish in the SSE Wild London tournament, we ended tying the London Bandit Orange in a scoreless draw. We lost out on advancing to the playoff round by the narrowest of percentage points. We had a very tough penalty filled game which seen our power killing units having to kill off a onesided parade to the penalty box. I want all players to come away from this tournament with there heads held high, we played terrific hockey the entire tournament. We had a bit of a slow start of Friday but showed we were ready to play on Saturday morning in a 3 - 3 tie with a questionable non-whistle that lead to the other team tying the game up late in the third period. In our last game we had a very whistle happy officiating crew that kept the parade of our players in a steady stream to the penalty box for the majority of the second half of our last game. Although we (the coaching staff) didn't agree with the majority of the calls that went against us  we kept our composure, skated extremely hard and followed our game plan. We had several great scoring opportunities while we were short handed but we just don't get the bounce we needed to put the puck in the back of the net.
Game MVP went out to Jackson Humphreys for the big shut-out and a big thank you to James Todd to help preserve the shut out for Jackson. An honorable mention to Jack Short for and extremely great tournament also. The biggest MVP goes to the entire team, you guys believed in yourselves, listened to the coaches and followed the game plan to a tee. The coaching staff was very proud how you represented yourselves, your parents and siblings and your city on and off the ice. We have had full confidence with each player from the day of the draft, we just had to wait a bit longer until you guys had confidence within yourselves and you guys certainly showed that this weekend.
Have a great week and get ready for our game against St. Catherines on Saturday and our game against Brantford on Sunday, lets show the league who we really are and how we can play.

Enjoy your week,

Coach Scott
