Congratulations to our MP AAA tournament champions!

As coaches we are extremely proud of our players and their accomplishments.
They're buying into a philosophy, a belief & trust in each other. They battled adversity and triumphed... Enjoy and savor this moment as a TEAM!

There are things that distinguish great athletes—champions—from others. Most of the sports world thinks it’s their talent, but I will argue that it’s their mindset. This idea is brought to life by the story of Billy Beane, told so well by Michael Lewis in the book Moneyball (Lewis, 2003). When Beane was in high school, he was in fact a huge talent–what they call a “natural.” He was the star of the basketball team, the football team, and the baseball team–and he was all of these things without much effort. People thought he was the new Babe Ruth.

1. Warm-up dynamically to improve mobility and reduce the risk of injury

Why? In preparation for exercise, the body should be moved through large ranges in all three planes of motion (sagital, frontal and transverse). Movement prepares the mind and body for exercise. Specifically, it excites the nervous system, warms muscle tissue and lubricates joints. Performing a variety of multi-plane movements consistently also improves movement mechanics and mobility (coordination, balance & flexibility).
