The Jr Rangers took both games of their home and home series with the London Jr Knights to move within one win of locking up first place overall and home ice.
Thursday the Blueshirts doubled up on the visiting Knights 6-3 at Activa.
Sunday in the return match a late 3rd period goal lifted the Rangers to a 3-2 road win at Medway.
Kitchener's next action comes in the Drummondville International Tournament Jan 16-20

The Jr Rangers opened 2013 the way they finished 2012 with a pair of wins on the weekend. Saturday saw the Blueshirts edge Lambton 3-1. On Sunday the Rangers defeated the Windsor Jr. Spitfires by a 7-1 score.
Rangers next see action Thursday when the London Jr. Knights make their only regular season visit to Activa. Puck drop is 8pm.

The Rangers closed out 2012 atop the Alliance Standings. Kitchener's record for the month of December was an impressive 9-1-0. Their league leading 20-2-1 was good enough for a seven point edge on the second place London Jr Knights.
The Rangers look to continue their strong play into 2013. There are nine remaining regular season games and the Drummondville Midget Tournament January 16-20 prior to the league playoffs which begin in February.

November 1, saw the Rangers play host to the Brantford 99ers in the Rangers Remembrance Day game. Members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #50 in Kitchener were on hand for the pre-game ceremonies where the Rangers presented the Branch with a donation to the Poppy Fund.
Again it was the Rangers coming out on top at home, this time by a margin of 4-2. Scoring were Austin Kovrig, Jarret Parker, Connor Bodnar & Anthony Osterling. Evan Wigmore registered the win between the pipes.
