Season opens with a victory
A great effort from the Blue boys to take down the visiting Hamilton Phantoms by a final score of 4 to 2. Jaymie Weicker led the way with two goals while Antione Dollimore and Alex Petrenko adding singles. Carter Ryan and Scott Voisin notched their first points at this level and Adam Exley made what may be the save of the year by any goalie at any level diving across the crease to snag a sure goal with his glove. A great start to the year is in the books with plenty more "hustle and heart" sure to come. Congratulations also go to Jaymie on being named team captain after today's game. Jaymie is a quiet and caring leader who always leads by example. Jaymie will make other kids around him better which is what you want in a captain. Keep punching the clock, boys.
