Wayne Gretzky Tournament
December 28th to 30th the team headed down the road to the Wayne Gretzky Tournament in Brantford.

During round robin play, the team played some very exciting hockey including a seven goal run in the 3rd to win against the Sarnia Sting, 7-2! The fourth game was very close and the boys held on to win 3-2 over the London Nationals.

We were 4 and 0 after the the first four games and landed in second place due to the GF%. On to the quarter finals against the London Nationals. We fell behind early and managed to tie the game up with some great offensive determination demonstrated by our forwards. The final score was 4-2 in favour of London. Our tournament was over and the boys were tired and disappointed.

The coaching staff is very proud of how hard all the boys worked overall in the tournament.
Gladiators for the tournament were: Tommy, Joshua, Jack, Jake and Michael.  All boys demonstrated great grit and determination in each of the games they were awarded the hat!  Well done boys!
MVPs were also acknowledged for their leadership during each of the 5 games. MVPs during the tournament were: Lukas, Austin, Shayle, Samuel and Tysen. Great job!

Oxford Learning
Tutoring relies heavily on memorization. At Oxford Learning®, we take a decidedly different approach—one that shifts the focus from WHAT your child is learning to HOW your child is learning. We don’t ask your child to review and memorize the same old stuff; we help them build the skills they need to really learn and understand. With Oxford Learning®’s programs you’ll be putting an end to the time and expense of hiring a tutor year after year—instead, you’ll be giving your child the skills he or she needs to deal with today’s school struggles, and helping him or her develop thinking and learning skills that will be used for this grade and for every grade.
