Hamilton and Black Games
Two games that got away.
Sunday afternoon we found ourselves down the 403 in Parkdale arena playing Hamilton Green. The boys were skating and passing well. We were scrambling all around their end but we could not put the puck into the net. A combination of holding the puck too long and looking for the perfect play. The game ended in a 1-1 tie and our grinder, again, was Austin for his outstanding work in the crease!
Monday night we played against the the Kitchener Black. It was a hard fought game that again we found ourselves unable to put the puck in the net. There were many opportunities that went unfinished. The Black played well through their great passing and never give up energy. The boys almost tied it up in the end, falling just short of the mark. We lost 5-4. Nolan put on a session about never giving up, and he was awarded the grinder of the game.
We have a lot of games to go and I feel that the boys learned a bit during these games. Moving on and up!
