Great Start For Blue
Great start to the season! The team performed very well from the back out - solid goaltending by both keepers as well as strong defensive support rolling only 2 pairs (that's certainly a good test of your conditioning). The forwards moved the puck well to produce a good number of quality chances and back checked all game long. Congratulations to the goalie's for working together to earn their first shutout of the year (I have a feeling we'll see a few more), to the D for preventing Ayr from getting good looks at the net and limiting second changes, and to the forwards for working together to generate so many excellent scoring opportunities such as those leading to Abby's first of the season assisted by Julia and Nicole and Avery's hat trick with assists on the 2nd and 3rd goals by Aspen and Sarah (1st goal unassisted). This is a good starting point to build from, let's keep it going Blue!
