Tough loss, good effort in early season game
I mentioned on the bench that it was going to be an ugly goal or a lucky goal that would win this one - it was both. That's hockey: keep your eye on the bouncing biscuit. Taylor and Chloe were the dynamic duo once again shutting the door on anything that was thrown at them. The D limited chances, neutralized their attack well, and improved on starting the breakout. We had a couple of good chances in their end, but their goalie was up to the task.
There were a number of infractions that were missed, but I'm proud of how we responded to these obstacles (with the exception of one time - Abby is still seeing the other girl's stick stuffed up in her cage - scary, not sure how it was missed). Alex and Sierra also tried to give each other a high speed hug on the blue line during the PK that only shows how much we like each other (this can wait until our celebrations after the game next time girls). This is early season hockey and we are still getting to know our team. We have a couple of practices next week to help with this (one a full sheet at the Aud) that will help to get us ready for Ravens #1 in Waterloo on the 24th. Until then, have a great Thanksgiving holiday, put on your dirndl or lederhosen, and enjoy the beautiful fall season.
