Rep Ravens hard to catch
As expected the Ravens were strong. They have certainly benefited from have the rep players that were expected to be on a B team that did not form this year. Some teams would throw in the towel early on given a stacked opponent sitting in first in the league, but we did not. Instead, we competed.
We played our best defensive game to date and kept Waterloo off the sheet until the 3rd period. What's even more impressive is that we accomplished this while keeping a clean sheet in the penalties department - not a single penalty, even to our defense, as we attempted to shutdown a team with 14 goals for, 0 against (best in the league). That is discipline. The team did a better job protecting the front of the net and our dynamic duo between the pipes were once again stellar, making many spectacular saves (fun to watch for sure). We are making good progress and will need to continue to improve as the first half continues, but after facing 4 of the top 5 teams in this first stretch (tough schedule compared to most others to say the least), I think that our determination will pay off.
