Minor Atom Blue, 2016-2017, MD (Kitchener Minor Hockey)

Back in December, the Kitchener Rangers Minor Atom MD Blue helped to feed 14 hungry families through the Stuff-A-Bus campaign. Through their community involvement, they were nominated to participate in the Ford Drills and Skills contest to win a Leafs Experience.

The Kitchener Jr Rangers Minor Atom MD Blue team got into the holiday spirit by giving back to the Community and helping to "Stuff A Bus" with food for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region and the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank.

Our Minor Atom Jr. Rangers defeated the Peterborough Petes 5-3 in the final of the Canadian Tire Classic Tournament this past weekend in Barrie, Ontario. A determined performance, Kitchener outscored opponents 30-18 over a six game stretch. The success was the result of organized play, a commitment to playing at both ends of the ice, incredible passing and an extremely hard-working team effort.

Immediately after Tuesday's final intrasquad games, both coaching staffs will choose their team in a draft.  A total of 30 players and 4 goalies will be selected.  Parents will be contacted by a coach (by phone) once the draft is complete to notify players if they were selected. Players not selected will also be called and asked to proceed to the house league evaluations.   This whole process will take some time and calls home may go late into the evening.
