Cole Schwindt Commits to Mississauga Steelheads
Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA program is proud to announce
that Cole Schwindt has signed with the Mississauga Steelheads of the Ontario
Hockey League.
Cole, an assistant captain this past season with the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA hockey club was selected in the 4th round 69th overall to the Mississauga Steelheads. Thursday Cole committed to the fish for the upcoming 2017/18 season. Congratulations to Cole and the entire Schwindt family as they enter the next chapter of Cole's hockey career.
Cole had 27 points in 31 regular season games and won 60% of his face offs. He was a strong contributor during the teams playoff run on their way to the OHL Cup playing a full 200 foot game. Cole was 63% on face offs in the playoffs and was especially strong on defensive zone face offs. Cole's strong play through the entire season led him to being named to Team Alliance and participating in the OHL Gold Cup as part of Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence.
