Novice Reds visit the nation's capital
Our Ranger Reds visited Ottawa this past weekend knowing they were in for some stiff competition from various AAA centres from Toronto and Eastern Ontario.
The weekend started with a 5-4 win against a rough and tumble home town Kanata Blazer squad, but was followed by a pair of tough losses against Cumberland and Gloucester. These tests can only serve to strengthen the resolve of this group going forward, and much was learned about what is needed to compete against the larger centres. While not as successful on the ice, the kids brought smiles to everyone around them off of it. Thanks to the social committee for organizing such a great weekend, including a trip to Parliament. Merry Christmas to the Kitchener hockey community from the Kitchener Ranger Novice Reds!
