The Red Rangers are finding their stride as they begin to play some consistent solid hockey each and every week!
Saturday, Rangers vs. Woodstock
Our team made the drive to Woodstock and continued to remain consistent with their focus and game plan to give 100% effort by all players every single game.
Our players of the game were Hudson Gordon with a dominant offensive game, as well as backchecking when needed to contain the Woodstock forwards. Hudson played a great two-way game and was a real difference maker with his effort. In addition, AJ Wigmore played a fantastic defensive game with some hustle up the ice as well as a tremendous back check effort to ensure he didn't let down our team.
Ryan Kathen, better known as "Ice Man" never gets rattled in goal. Ryan received the "Shut out recognition award" with some real key saves and great positional play throughout the entire game. The team showed that they can play a consistent game of hockey when they ALL bring the effort that the Coaching staff has asked of them.
Sunday, Rangers vs. Burlington Red
With a bit of a slow start and some bad luck to begin the game, our Rangers found themselves down 2-0 after the first period of play. One thing we have learned, this team is never out of a game and has always shown character to battle back. The boys fought back to score the next four goals and won the game 4-2.
Luke Hodgson played an excellent game and showed some real skating ability as well as a strong shot from the point. Luke receives our player of the game award for the "compete" level that he displayed in our game. Congratulations, way to go Luke!!! Honorable mention goes out to
Quinn with two goals, Ryan R. with a goal and assist, as well as Matteo with two assists...a great display of a line believing in one another.
