THE GIFT OF GIVING...
We aren't just developing good hockey players, we are developing good human beings!
Recently our boys were able to make a team donation of $1000 to a fantastic cause. "Donna's Kids" is a wonderful organization named after a very special person. Donna Weber lead the community in the art of "giving back", she literally donated thousands of hours of her personal time to make a difference in others lives. Donna believed that every child should be in a postion to participate in hockey, regardless of their family's financial status.
In the spirit of what Donna stood for, we took the opportunity to discuss with our team that many other children may not be as fortunate as they are. We asked the boys
..."could you imagine loving a sport and not being able to participate in it?" Our team was in a position to pay it forward and also learn that giving back to the community is far more important than anything else they will likely experience in this great game of ours. These are the moments that can make a tremendous difference and we challenged the boys to continue to give back to the community whether they simply donate their time or find additional ways to help others.
Thank you to our Ranger families for stepping up with the "Donna's Kids" program, we hope our boys continue to understand what a difference some kind actions can make in someone's life!
