Meet Your Minor Midget AAA Players - #88 Braeden Bowman
When selecting a hockey club, the Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA team not only look at the player on the ice but also the player as a member of our community and a role model to other Jr. Ranger players within the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association.
Each week we'll profile a member of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA hockey club so you'll get to know them a little more outside of their play on the ice.
This week we're proud to introduce Assistant Captain #88 Braeden Bowman.
Braeden is a right shot right winger for the Jr. Rangers. He started skating when he was 3 years old and he's been a Jr. Rangers for 7 years. Braeden is a strong leader on the club who prefers to lead by example through work ethic. He respects his teammates and his opponents, while he plays hard, honest and competes in every situation. When watching Braeden, you'll notice with the puck he's a powerful winger with a heavy shot, but it is his play without the puck that is just as impressive. He can knock a lot of loose pucks down and create turnovers from his strong positional play.
Braeden's the youngest in his family as he has one older brother who is 19. The pregame meal in the Bowman house is simply meat and potatoes, exactly how Braeden plays. While mom makes a great dinner, Braeden says his mom makes the best decisions. Don't Stop Till You Get Enough by Michael Jackson is Braeden's jam and his favourite movie is Spiderman.
Braeden's best friend is teammate Logan Crans, who along with a few other teammates attend Victus Academy with Braeden. History is his favourite subject while Math is one of his least favourite. When not at the rink or at school you'll find Braeden hanging out with friends, family or shooting pucks. If time permits, he'll play teammate Matt Sop in NHL 19. The Toronto Maple Leafs are Braeden's favourite team while Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin is his favourite player.
A unique talent that Braeden has is he likes to do magic tricks. Braeden's favourite hockey memory was winning the Alliance in Atom and playing in the OHF Championships. Words that Braeden lives by are, "Do it for the guy next to you". That's a great mindset as we head into the playoffs Braeden!!
Braeden, who is known as Bonezy to his teammates, is a tremendous young man on and off the ice and we're very proud and fortunate to have Braeden as such a role model and member of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers Minor Midget AAA program.
