Rangers Grind Out Win
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team fought through illness and injuries to continue their undefeated season with a 4 to 1 win over the Brantford 99ers Monday night.

The Rangers were without their captain Jacob Reid-Brant, Evan Peori and Jake Fisher due to various injuries and illnesses while a few members of the defence played through some discomfort at times.

Tyler Oude-Voashaar was called up and made his MD debut and added a spark to the energy train. Noah Park filled in as a forward and as always put forth a solid high tempo effort.

Stephen Peppas stepped up for the Rangers with a goal and pair of assists. Peppas opened the scoring from Connor Coughlin and Josh McDonald. Caleb Cumming scores from Coughlin and Peppas. Toby Pryce had an absolute rocket of a goal from Coughlin and Peppas. Then Park put the exclamation point in the win with an empty net goal from Logan Duke.

Owen Neomytka made sure the Rangers got the win with some clutch saves as the Rangers fought fatigue. In fact the Rangers left their goalie out to dry at times and were fortunate Neomytka was up for the task staying square to pucks and shuting the door on a few odd man opportunities.

It was anything but a typical night for the Rangers. Denver Heiman and Quinten Earle forechecked hard and Logan Duke was a warrior all game. Matt Gallant was sting especially in one in one battles. Kodi Blackshaw and Chad Morris shut things down for the Rangers, coming in big on a few loose pucks around the Rangers crease.

As ugly as the win was you have to credit the boys for battling hard in a late Monday game in Brantford while missing key players to keep their perfect season rolling.

Go Rangers!
