Rangers Complete Statement Win
The Kitchener Jr Ranger MD Red team responded to their less then stellar play last weekend by bringing a full effort, for the whole game, in a convincing 6 to 1 win over West London Hawks. It was exactly how the coaches had hoped the team would respond showing maturity and dedication to team values.

Stephen Peppas had one of his best games of the season with a pair of goals and an assist in the game. Peppas opened the scoring just 13 seconds into the game from Evan Peori and Toby Pryce. Peppas’ second goal was set up by Jacob Reid-Brant and Josh McDonald and Peppas had the assist, along with Reid-Brant, on a goal by Caleb Cumming that happened just 15 seconds into the second period.

Connor Coughlin scored from Quinten Earle and McDonald on the powerplay and then McDonald scored from Jake Fisher and Noah Park. Reid-Brant closed the scoring with a goal from Coughlin and Cumming.

Owen Neomytka returned from vacation and clearly showed he never missed a beat. Neomytka was sharp all game and made a highlight reel diving stop in the final minute of the game with the Rangers down two men due to penalties.

The Rangers were short three players and the team had contributions from everyone. The forwards had great back checking from guys like Logan Duke and some shut down defending from Matt Gallant and Chad Morris.

Next, the Rangers will face the Waterloo Wolves in an attempt to finish the regular season a perfect 20-0 which is a special accomplishment that is not achieved often, if ever. If the Rangers put in the same hard working, no nonsense approach, the team will reach their goal.

Go Rangers!
