North London Blue and White Tournament Champions!
Showing no signs of the effects of 2 nights in a hotel, Team White beat Oakridge Aeros 3-2 to win the Blue and White Tournament in London on Sunday afternoon.
Team white started fast and carried that momentum through til the end of the game. Marko got us started on his second shift with help from Pep. Then Sam streaked in from centre ice to make it 2 - 0. White continued to press, and early in the second Preston skated down the left wing and made a tape to tape pass to Olivia who potted the eventual game winner. The third period saw White in a defensive mode, with Chase making a couple of key saves, despite 2 goals from Oakridge.
A tremendous team effort carried us to the championship and we had some very proud players and families when Pep, Jack and Cole hoisted the Trophy.
Special mention to Marko with 8 goals in the championship and very deserving of the Tournament MVP. Also, to Preston, whose unselfish play throughout the tourney, inspired his teammates to perform to their highest level.
Olivia was the white helmet winner in the final, for her dogged perseverance, and her pro style goal!
Congratulations White, a well deserved win!
