Round 1
The first round of the 2011 -2012 LLFHL playoffs are complete and what a round it was!

After 22 regular season games, the Kitchener Lady Rangers opened the first round of the Central West Division playoffs against the Haldiman Rivercats. The opening game set the tone for things to come with a combined eight penalties including those for Roughing, Head Contact and Body Contact. A hard fought thirty two minutes resulted in a 4 - 1 KLR win.

Two nights later in Haldiman, with the Rivercats facing elimination, the physical style of play continued. Our normally quiet Sara M. spent several minutes in the "sin bin" and is now known affectionately as "the goon". Not to be out done, her life long defence partner Kendra E. decided enough was enough and replaced the end of game handshake with the kind words of "do you wanna go??" which was readily accepted by her new Haldiman friend.

After our normally quiet trainer explained how the refs "should be refereeing" (can you say GM20), the series closed with a hard fought (no pun intended) 1 - 0 win for the "Lady" Rangers.

Keep up the hard work ladies. West Senica awaits our arrival in round two!
