Red Stumbles in Final Round Robin
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team failed to earn the bye to the Alliance Finals after a 3 to 2 loss to the rival Kitchener Blue team.

This sets the stage for a “All Kitchener” semi final today at 6:20.

Jacob Reid-Brant scored his 40th goal of the season from Aydan Costello and Carter Niall. Daniel Gubbels had the Rangers second goal to tie the game from Ryan McConnell and Jacob Fisher. Sadly, a questionable penalty set the stage for a late Blue goal with only 24 seconds remaining.

Connor Coughlin, Nicholas Zammit and Logan Hock were strong for the Rangers and had solid games as did the Rangers defense despite being outshot in the game. Yianni Peppas, Keenan Hack, Noah Park, Kailum Belainc and Kodi Blackshaw all dug deep but at times were left without support.

Aiden Radatus made several big saves and gave the Rangers a chance to win the game but overall the team didn’t perform to the expected level.

The game was a good reminder that the team must go into games mentally prepared and follow the team game plan. The Rangers remain confident and vow to play to their potential and their coaches are excited to see them follow through.

Let’s go Rangers!
