Atom B, 2012-2013, AA (Kitchener Minor Hockey)

    Saturday November 17th, the Toronto Furies and Team Alberta of the CWHL (Canadian Women’s Hockey League) proved there is a thirst for Professional Women’s Hockey in Canada. With both teams recently signing partnership deals with NHL teams in their respective cities, the opportunity presented itself for a Free Admission game at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Ontario.

              At just before the half way point of the regular season, the Kitchener Lady Rangers Atom B have proven the benefits of teamwork. With a current record of 4-3-2, the Belles in Blue have fully bonded as a group and put real definition in Together Everyone Achieves More (T.E.A.M).

    Rangers looking for a scoring spark to lead them into a full weekend of Road Games. With only one goal in their first two games, the Kitchener Girls are looking for ways to fill the net and find their confidence.

    The schedules have been set and the Rangers will open the season at home. Through six preseason games the Lady Rangers managed to outscore opponents 12-10 en route to a 2-2-2 record, proving there is some power upfront, and with the exception of the first game against a heavily favored Waterloo ‘A’ team, the defense in front of young net minder Sam has been stellar.

    With the Ladies expected to wrap up the exhibition season this weekend, there has been remarkable progress in the girls ability to learn and adapt. After what could have been a moral thwarting loss to the Waterloo ‘A’ Ravens, the Belles in Blue rebounded for a 2-0 win in Cambridge and a 1-1 hard fought tie at Waterloo ‘B’.
