Minor Atom Red, 2015-2016, MD (Kitchener Minor Hockey)

The Kitchener Jr Rangers Minor Atom MD Red team won Gold at the Wayne Gretzky International tournament in Brantford over the Christmas break!!!  For the second tournament this year it was an all Kitchener finals with Red facing off against Blue.

The Kitchener Jr Rangers Minor Atom MD Red team met on November 22, 2015 off the ice to give back to our community.  The boys met as a team to shop for a family of 5 that we were matched to through the Holiday Support Program (formerly Adopt-a-Family) offered by Family and Child Services.  This program provides families and youth in need in Waterloo Region with gifts during the holiday season.  

The Kitchener Jr Rangers Minor Atom MD Red team won their first tournament of the year playing in the Kitchener Oktoberfest Tournament.  The boys came into the semi-finals with a 2-2 record.  They had some ups and downs through this one and faced some very tough competition. They battled hard against the Milton Winterhawks to take the semi-finals with a 5-1 win.  The finals was an exciting game with a hometown crowd as Minor Atom MD Red took on Minor Atom MD Blue.  The teams were well matched and ended regular time with a 2-2 tie.  Minor Atom MD Red battled hard and won a nail biter in ...
