Rangers Look Flat Against Wolf Attack
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team looked flat against the Waterloo Wolves Black in a 3 to 2 lose.

The Rangers were sloppy in their own end and allowed the Wolves to take a 3 goal lead into the third period before starting to play their game.

Jacob Fisher and Yianni Peppas both scored their tenth goal on the season late in the third as the Rangers finally started to rally and play their game. Carter Bowman had an assist on the Peppas goal and made a sweet saucer back hand pass on the play to spring Peppas on a breakaway. Peppas made no mistake. Fisher's goal was trademark for the young center. He battled for every inch in front and showed determination to get the puck up and over the Wolves goalie.

With a minute and half remaining the Rangers pulled Hayden Smith for the extra attacker trying to take advantage of a late penalty by the wolves. The Rangers, two men up, were able to keep the play in the Wolves end but credit Waterloo for keeping the play to the outside.

The Rangers will need to close the season with a win to finish second in the Tier 1 Playoffs and secure home ice advantage. It will be a tough battle against their local rivals MD Blue but the coaches believe the boys will be up for the challenge.

Go Rangers!
